Why can there sometimes only be love, and not just plain friendship between a guy and a girl?

this week being friendship week we celebrate our friends
but i can't help but wonder...

why can there sometimes only be love, and not just friendship, for a guy and a girl?
why is it that there can't be just frienship between all guys and girls?
why is it that for some guys and girls, there can only be love?
and why does it make life difficult for us sometimes?
is it just that we are human beings, and we can't control the way we feel?
is it just that is was made that way just so the the human species could survive?
is it just so that people would be emotionally hurt just to make us stronger to face other things?
or is it just that the guy up there just likes to experiment these things on us?
why is it that when i ask the guy up there, he ignores me?
why is it that he gives me a decision that could possibly change my life forever?
why is it that these problems never fail to happen to everyone?
is it just the circle of life?
or is that just the way we are?
thus it never fails to strike down on someone?
and why does it have to bring out the best, and the worst in everyone?
does it makes us who we want to be?
or is it just something mindless that could ruin us completely?
why does it drive us harder sometimes, and yet can bring us down?
why is it that i resort to blaming the guy up there for all these sort of things happening in my life?
why can't i learn to accept it as a fact of life?
can anybody answer my questions?
